Face to Fate still rocks on. =D
12 November 2007
Mood: Hyper-active
The Latest Thing: STILL Face to Fate!
So sorry, I haven't been posting much. So much have happened since. I've watched Forensic Heroes, another TVB show, and it rocks! Frankie Lam, Li Po-Yee in Face to Fate, also acts in this show. He is the science pathologist Sam Koo. Oh well.
But... Although I've finished watching Forensic Heroes, I keep going back to Face to Fate to re-watch it! It has 30 eps in all and all of them rock! XD I am a SERIOUS obsessed fan of Face to Fate. 布衣神相, Po-Yi-Shan-Xiang. =D
My other blog is on for my friends to see. This blog is uninhabited, except for me. This blog is unknown and I would like to keep it this way... Because then everyone won't see how obsessed I am about TVB shows! Haha~ Not that I'm writing something offensive, because I won't ever.
[[Edit: My other blog is now up. It is
Abstracts of Music, and it is really lively! I love the title and the bottom and all the weird and "outgoing" names I gave it. Rock on, my blog!]]

Face to Fate Characters
11 October 2007
Mood: A bit weary [[from watching the show]]
The Latest Thing: It's still Face to Fate =D
Sorry for the slightly late entry! I intended to type the summaries on 10 Oct but I was completely immersed and yes, you might say addicted, to the show. It's interesting and captivating! Even
some TVB fans think so too!
Introducing the leads and co-leads:
Frankie Lam stars as the lead in this nice show. He is the slightly wooden-faced but intelligent Li-po-yee, as such in Cantonese. He is a brilliant fortune-teller, of whom can predict accurately and foretell many things. As a I-believe-in-justice person, he decided to help the Good Way to find five people to enter the Golden Seal Battle. However, he hides a deep dark secret that haunts him sometimes.
Tavia Yeung is the hot-tempered and fiery lead. She is an orphan raised by her Master from Flying Fish Heights and she respects him a lot. She also hides a secret within her - something she would never have thought of. She can fight well, but isn't much of a expert swordswoman. Well, just enough to get her by. She hides great potential - watch the show to find out!
Raymond Lam acts as a extremely talented and well-versed in medicine Lai. Rather, he is from the Lai family and as such, he is a great doctor, just like his ancestors and brother. He seems to be a spoilt, overbearing and overly rude playboy, but he is actually carrying the burden of someone, causing him to steep to frolic, thinking his life isn't of much worth. After meeting Frankie, he turns for the better, and is on his way to finding the 7 Extremes. [[Don't ask me what is that, sorry, I've just released a spoiler!]]
Selena Li is the beautiful hotel manager with an adopted son and an at first domineering and strict mother-in-law. Although she looks demure and kind, she is a good fighter and is pretty skilled. She seems to be on the side of evil at first [[at least to me =P]] but she isn't, don't worry. Raymond really likes her, but she doesn't reciprocate - at the beginning. In the end, she steps nearer to helping him and liking him and tries to find the 7 Extremes with him.
Nancy Wu acts as Tavia's junior "sis" in martial arts. Her father is Tavia's master. She is hot-tempered and impulsive, leading to many disasters and driving her father almost mad in despair. She can't wait to do an honourable deed for Flying Fish Heights, causing much trouble. No wonder her father is always worried for her. However, later she falls in love. =D
Derek Kwok stars as the "Green Eyebrow" person or whatever his name is. He is soooooooo good in martial arts that he is nearly undefeatable. His sword glows green whenever it reflects light, revealing a beautiful but threatening aura. He is an assassin and he absolutely loves money. He will brave storms to get his hefty payments. He seems to be a cruel, hard-hearted and cold-blooded person, but in actual fact, he has a terribly sad story behind him and I'm sure you'd sympathetise with him.
[[SPOILER WARNING]]Pairings:
Frankie x Tavia
Raymond x Selena
Derek x Nancy
[[END OF SPOILERS]]If you desperately want to know EVERYTHING, all the secrets, all the stories, you can email me if you want at
whaliny@DELETETHEWORDSINCAPSyahoo.com.sg. I will try my best to tell you. Although I haven't watched everything, my mum has, and besides, I've been visiting websites to see spoilers. Anyway, I'll probably post in a few days' time; this time for the Last Breakthrough. Ok, so goodbye for now!

Face to Fate
9 October 2007
Mood: Listless, happy?
The Latest Thing: Watching Face to Fate
Yay! My last tests have ended and everything is done! I am extremely happy at my being able to watch so many Face to Fate episodes today. It's been from 10 am to about 7 pm. Then I went to the doctor's for a little blood test to confirm my blood type and then it's home again and the lovely show for me. =D
I love how things are turning out in Face to Fate. Some people have said it's pretty boring and uninteresting, but I thought I'd give it a try. At the same time, I'm watching The Last Breakthrough, an old TVB show about three years back. It is superb!
Face to Fate Ep 1-14:
Characters: 9/10
Plot: 9/10
Fighting: [[surreal!]] 7/10
Costumes: 8/10
Layout of show: 10/10
Overall: 43/50
Comments: This show is pretty enjoyable. It has a nice spice of fortune telling and it is funny at times. Unlike some other shows, this show is quite consistent and seldom goes out of the plot they're supposed to be following. Also, when you watch this show without knowing any spoiler summaries, you're going to be majorly surprised! Things you never thought would happen will; the scriptwriter has twisted the script cleverly to give us little thrills here and there! Well, so far, this is my impression.
However, one major flaw is the costumes. Some costumes look weird, and the "Evil Way" costumes look REALLY... unreal, fake-y, and everything NOT evil. [[Later, I'll post the character summaries. =D]]
Overall, this show is a great wu xia show and I recommend it! However, you may think otherwise. Oh well, why don't you go to
Wikipedia for a GREAT summary to know
more! Other places have summaries too. Check out other TVB sites. But in my opinion, Face to Fate is great!
